Children's books have to have a catchy story and cute, attention holding artwork. This book for young children has both. The story is cute and would appeal to a young child. There's a "lost" duckling, which Jam and Jelly help find it's mother. Well worth while!

Hilarious, gloriously icky, and joyfully illustrated. “Stinky Rottensock” is the kind of book that makes kids lean in with a gleeful “Ewwww!” and then ask to read it again. Each page turns up the running question, “Just how disgusting can a sock get?” It's comic gold for young readers. The illustrations by Amber Icenhour Calderon are wonderfully expressive and kinetic. I especially love the way the textures build as the sock gets dirtier— it’s visual storytelling that keeps even wiggly listeners glued to the page. The mother/daughter team nails the rhythm of a great family tale that's humorous, colorful, artful, and just the right amount of gross-out giggles. Stinky Rottensock will be an instant favorite.
